The Périgord is a little farther away from the château, but well worth a day trip.
The food here is unbelievable (this is the French capital of foie gras, duck and black truffle) and the scenery truly breathtaking. Romantic castles are so numerous here that you won’t be able to drive more than 5 minutes without seeing one.

Just imagine yourself entering the movie set of Sleeping Beauty or Snow White. That is exactly what this trip will feel like.
